There’s no doubt that winter is tough on wildlife. Some adapt, some travel or migrate to warmer climes. The ones that choose to stay often face cold temperatures and deep snow. Watching from the warmth of my home, I can’t help but feel pain for my winged friends out in the cold. If I could, I would bring them all inside and warm them. I’m sure that they, for the most part, would rather stay outdoors and do for themselves. Meanwhile, I will gather my wool socks and another cup of coffee and be glad for today, at least, that I am not one of Nature’s most hardy.
